After one year and nine months of real trading, I started with a principal of 50,000 yuan and ultimately reached an asset of 100 million yuan, achieving a 2000-fold increase in returns. During the same period, Bitcoin also rose from 30,000 to 120,000 dollars, continuously breaking historical highs.
Looking back on this journey, the overall progress has been relatively smooth. Strict position management and risk control are key, during which I only experienced one major drawdown. After my assets broke through 10 million, I mainly traded cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, and SOL through swing trading, combined with high leverage, achieving excess returns, most of which came from this year.
The cryptocurrency market is never short of geniuses, and every bull market brings forth new legends, as the saying goes, "the times create heroes." However, in this high-risk market, learning to survive in the long term is more important than pursuing short-term wealth. You must ensure that you remain in the game until you achieve your goals. With more institutions entering the market, the difficulty of operations will significantly increase in the future. I advise everyone to cherish this round of market before interest rate cuts, strive to achieve your goals early, and exit gracefully.
There are many insights I want to share, which I will gradually unfold in the future. Now, let me briefly discuss how I control losses in adversity and amplify gains in prosperity:
Do not average down on floating losses, add positions on floating profits#
When there are floating losses in your positions, never lower the average cost by averaging down; you can choose to hold (provided you have full confidence in the future market), but you must not average down. Conversely, when there are floating profits, only then should you add positions and set a stop-loss to lock in safety margins.
Stay clear-headed during favorable periods, know when to rest during unfavorable periods#
Everyone will encounter market conditions suitable for their strategies, but do not mistakenly believe that such phases will last forever. Overconfidence often leads to significant drawdowns—my several major drawdowns and even liquidations stemmed from this. When the market trend does not align with expectations, learn to take appropriate breaks and adjust your state.
Block out external noise, establish your own trading system#
A common problem among many traders is that despite reading a lot of analysis, they hesitate to open positions or cannot hold them. The root cause lies in insufficient confidence. You need to form your own trading logic through practical experience and optimize your take-profit and stop-loss strategies by learning from excellent traders, rather than being disturbed by external noise.
Achieving real trading profits exceeding 100 million has always been my small goal, and today I finally achieved it. Next, I will restart on Binance with real trading, pause operations on other accounts, focus on a single account, and share publicly through Coin, growing together with everyone.
